An Explosion of Color

BOCA RATON, FL (July 4, 2006) You look to the sky and there it is an explosion of glistening, glimmering color. You get happy, emotional, spiritual, patriotic and a whole slew of feelings are generated—but why? It could be color.

Sure they are loud, exciting and stimulating. But fireworks are colorful and color, afterall is merely energy that we can see and recognize.

Light is electromagnetic radiation, which is the fluctuation of electric and magnetic fields in nature. More simply, light is energy, and the phenomenon of color is a product of the interaction of energy and matter. The energy of every color is evident to the human eye as a visible spectrum or visible light. Visible light can be broken down into numerous electromagnetic frequencies, and frequency relates to a color of the rainbow. It’s no wonder then that as different colors are manifestations of different energy that they would have a different impact on our bodies.

According to chroma Therapy and Indian Chakra’s every creature is engulfed in light, which affects its health conditions. The human body, according to the doctrine of chromotherapy, is basically composed of colors. All organs, cells and atoms exist as energy, and each form has its frequency or vibrational energy. Each of our organs and energy centers vibrates and harmonizes with the frequencies of these colors.

So what makes fireworks colorful? It is all in the recipe that goes into the blending of the chemicals for each shell. It all depends on how finely ground the power is, the type of binder used and the order in which the ingredients are mixed. The skill of the fireworker creating the actual fireworks then becomes critical to the overall vibrancy of each shell fired and the overall look of the total show.
